AGROAQUAREED

AGROAQUAREED is a development and pilot project that demonstrates the operational possibilities of an integrated rural system based on reed. The local circular system produces inputs such as fodder, fertilizer and soil improvers – as well as opening up areas of use for other underutilized side streams and biomasses in the countryside.

The project is part of a green transition that prepares Åland's food production for climate change, combines food production with environmental measures, improves water quality, circulates nutrients, and reduces dependence on external fossil-based inputs.
